in Broward County

by The Center for Creating the Future, Inc. and the Institute for the Post-Petroleum Era

Objectives
1.  Describe present issues facing commercial, governmental and multi-residential parking arrangements in Broward County;

2.  Describe present projections of parking demand for future policy needs,

3.  Describe present responses to those needs, including parking organization and management patterns;

4.  Describe possible alternatives to those responses;

5.  Recommend choices for the future -- create the future of Broward County Parking Strategies.

Methodology
1.  Gather existing information concerning present responses to future parking needs, including applicable policies, rules and regulations;

2. Gather alternatives from all possible sources, including national and international examples;

3.  Analyze material and recommend present actions to prepare for the future, i.e. "create the future" of parking in Broward County, including a potential range of costs and benefits;

4.  Keep a continuous flow of the work available on the Internet and request on-going public, both local and non-local, input, to be included as appropriate in the final report;

5.  Prepare and present the final report (a) in the customary printed form, (b) on the Internet and (c) in a visual format to be determined later, e.g. video, powerpoint, illustrator.
