Country Reports
We will be doing a lot of research and work on country reports this year.  We will start by selecting countries in September.  For now, you may want click here to glance at some sites that I have found useful over the years.
Your first project will involve you researching some basic facts about your country.  These facts should not be too hard to find.  Between books that you'll get and web sites you can visit, it shouldn't be too tough.  Then, you will put your information on a Power Point presentation.  If you don't know how to do that, I'll teach you.  Click here to see the example that I made about USA. We will get into this project in early October.
Parents, you may be wondering how you can help your child with the above project.  I'm glad that you're interested in helping!  If you know how to do a Power Point, it may be helpful for you to teach them how to make one, including how to take a picture off the Internet, save it to the hard drive, and inserting it on a slide.  I will teach students how to make a presentation, but it would be helpful to your child and to me if they had some prior knowledge.  Thanks!

More information will be coming soon.  I am planning on three or four different projects leading up to the actual Country Report.  These projects are designed to help the note taking process go more smoothly.  Whatever you do, don't throw away any materials for these projects until AFTER International Day.  That way, you won't have to do double duty to find new information.
