CHILDREN'S RIGHTS COUNCIL OF JAPAN
The first international chapter of the Children's Rights Council (CRC) was established in Japan on May 5, 1996, "Children's Day" in Japan.

CRC is a Washington, D.C. based non-profit IRS 501(c)(3) children's rights organization.

Our motto is:   "The Best Parent is Both Parents"

We work to strengthen families and assist children of divorce and separation.

The CRC of Japan chapter was founded by David Brian Thomas (a British citizen) and Walter Benda (a U.S. citizen) in response to their own difficulties obtaining access to their children in Japan.  Both men are the "left behind parent" victims of parental abductions committed in Japan.

CRC of Japan strives to promote children's rights in Japan through educational campaigns to raise  awareness in Japan and internationally of the rights of children to direct, personal contacts with both parents and both sides of their family on a regular basis.  CRC of Japan is pursuing changes in worldwide international laws, treaties, and policies to make this happen.  We also offer a support and information network for parents and children.

Please go to our membership application link above for information on how to join.
