MahiMahs Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Saloon Homepage
Located in 6th St. Oceanfront in Virginia   Beach is a place for you to enjoy variety of seafoods. If you are a seafood lover, be sure to visit Mahi Mahs seafood restaurant and Sushi Saloon.
A book-length menu features Creamy Crab and Red Pepper Bisque among dozens of meal. It isn't an all-seafood menu, but close. Vegetarians who aren't watching their dairy fats will enjoy the quesadilla, a crisply browned flour tortilla oozing Jack cheese, sharpened with a bit of cheddar and green chilies, dipped in guacamole and sour cream. The rancho salad offers fresh greens, tomatoes and avocado with grilled bell peppers and onions, topped with ranch dressing and cheese. Other options are cheese enchiladas and chilies rellenos. There is also plenty to choose from for someone looking for a great grilled steak, chicken, pasta or more. The food is served fast, on real plates with real silverware. You would pay the same price for a menu elsewhere and not find a place to sit, or not want to.
A variety of appetizers is available for huge eaters. One of my favorite is the Cornflake Fried Crab cake served with cranberry-mango; the aroma of mango-cranberry and the unique seasoning is worth the $15 that you'll pay. My cousin Kelley loves tunas, she probably had tried all tuna dishes that you can imagine. But not the blackened tuna coated with scallions and pineapple that Mahi Mahs offers. At first, she wasn't sure if the fish that she ordered was a tuna because of the deep black color of it. We hadn't seen tuna like that before, but when we tasted it, she absolutely say that it was the tuna fish that she always orders in every restaurant she goes. She was amazed of the color and taste that gives the tuna's unique flavor that you can't find anywhere else, added by this sweet and sour flavor of pineapple and scallions. The $18 is absolutely another tuna experience in her list.
If you visit Mahi Mahs be sure to have their sushi, the Beach's freshest sushi bar with a variety of hand rolls and piece combinations. For a newly visitors like me you can order five different sushi pieces in one serving or just the sushi of your choice that worth $10 each plate. Kelly's twin brother has a taste for Jerk Spiced Pulled Pork Panini ($13) mildly spiced, slow roasted pork with a citrus and red pepper mayonnaise, smoked gouda  cheese and served with black beans and rice. The spices on the food were  really good for the cold tea and milk tea that we ordered.
And for our last dish before going home, our dessert, a cake-textured brownie with vanilla ice cream was elevated beyond ordinary by crushed strawberries and its presentation on a plate makes you really want to eat it right away. The brownies were baked in a moist chocolate flavor, and I can say I haven't enjoyed eating brownies before other than these brownies in MahiMah's. The lumping softness of it and the combination of flavor makes me really want for another one.
On top of being an excellent oceanfront restaurant, they offer happy hour daily from 3 to 6 p.m. (even on Saturday and Sunday) at the bar. During happy hour one can order thirty five cent clams, wings and oysters to go along with $1.75 Bud Lights or Icehouse pints, $2.50 well drinks or $2.00 house vodka/gin martinis. Plus on every Monday they have half price sushi rolls and martinis to go along with it.
Mahi Mah's is one of the best seafood and sushi restaurants in Virginia Beach. According to their website they have earned awards for best seafood, best sushi and best view in the area, along with best restaurant in any Ramada Inn in the world.
