THE FALL

What shall I do
I am caught between
A rock
And a hard place
I have jumped off
The cliffs of emotion
Hurling down upon the hard place
For which I seek
But now a rock
Has fallen after me
Either way
I will be squished
And unable to breathe
Would the rock hit me first,
And I miss out on what I seek?
Or would I hit the hard place first,
And be crushed
By the rock that pursues me?
