Flaine 2001/2002 - here are a few pictures from my latest snowbaording adventure with some friends of mine in Flaine between 29.12.2001 and 02.01.2002; which included 9 of us staying at my friend, Julien's (in first image below) Chalet, on New Year's eve (Silvester). The Chalet is situated very nicely on the side of a mountain right in the middle of the resort. Its a beautiful part of the French Alpes and I feel privelaged at having such a good friend who lets me stay there sometimes, he's also 100 times better at snowboarding than me and in fact taught me to snowboard.The Chalet is perfect, it has no running water, no electricity and no shower facilities, but that's what makes it perfect...if I wanted boring luxury I'd stay in boring luxury Hotel...but who wants Television when your 1500m up in the mountains surrounded by some of the most beautiful winter landscape in Europe! This is the 2nd year we've been at Silvester and together as a group of English, French and German people, we get on as friends and have had some great parties (sometimes involving some members stripping off to show what they've got...not mentioning any names...Chamois...). Now sit back, relax and enjoy the show... |
