Yes, yes, I'll admit it, I am a huge fan of animation. You may be wondering why I have an anime and a cartoon section, but I think of them as two totally different things. Here I will put strictly Japanese animation series. That means no movies! Those go in the movie section. Anyway, if there is an anime you want me to review, say so in the guestbook and I'll see if I can rent it or whatever. All grades given are based on A-F, just like in school.

Grade: A
Plot: A boy falls into a cursed spring that makes him turn into a girl whenever he gets wet with cold water! This might not be so bad, but he has about 4 or 5 girls who all want to be his fiancee (and one who really hates him) Some of the other characters in the show also change, including Ryoga (the guy in my background) who changes into a pig, Shampoo (cat), Mousse (duck) and Genma (panda).
What's good: Its completely hilarious! One of the funniest shows I have ever seen. The English dubbing is good, and possibly even preferable to the Japanese version (maybe it was just because I was used to the English VA's tho) The animation is not annoyingly stupid or repetitive either.
What's bad: There's just a little too much nudity. Its not used in a pornographic way, it is always humor, but sometimes it doesn't always feel necessary.

Grade: A+
Plot: A boy named Shinji must pilot a giant robot in order to destroy the "angels" (in other words, really big monsters) In the process he gains an annoying drunken woman and a penguin as his roomates. Other than that I can't really explain because the plot gets pretty in depth.
What's good: Animation, storyline, and a kickass opening themesong. Just about everything!
What's bad: The story is confusing as hell.

Plot: Well, it's about this girl Excel who is part of a secret organization trying to take over a city (number of members: 2) It's all manic and random from there, weaving her story in with a poor man who is kinda dead and can't get back to his wife and kid because the Great Monochronism of the Will likes him too much, a bunch of guys who live next door to Excel and have no money or jobs, a dog who keeps almost getting eaten by Excel, A Spike-wannabe, a space-girl with anemia, etc. etc. It's weird.
What's good: It's completely hilarious and random. Honestly one of the funniest anime series I've ever seen. It parodies about a billion things (When the Spike-wannabe first appears, listen for the Cowboy Bebop theme in the background) It makes me think of some weird ass fanfics me and my friends used to write. Plus, Illpalazzo is the most kickin' evil guy ever, even if he doesn't have big dreams of world domination (city-wide domination is good enough for him!)
What's bad: Well, Excel dies 5 times in the first episode...so if you're looking for realism, look somewhere else...
