Higurashi Kagome is one of the main characters in this series. She's fifteen years old, and lives in present-day Tokyo. One day, she was pulled into the Bone-Eating Well by the Centipede Mistress. She woke Inuyasha up from his supposed to be eternal sleep. From then on, her life has changed drastically.

She goes back and forth in time through the well. Most of the time, she goes to the Sengoku Jidai. She is also the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo. The Shikon no Tama came out of a cut in her body, which proves that she is definitely the reincarnation of Kikyo.

Kagome is usually an even-tempered girl, but when you get her mad, you better watch out! ^__^ She's looked up to by Shipp�. He looks up to her as his mom.

Kagome gets along with just about everybody, except for the evil people. She gets into fights with Inuyasha sometimes, but it's obvious that she has feelings for him. ^.^
