Sunshine
Throughout my life, the search
has
Continued to seek, conquer and
find
The soothing rays of Sunshine From the
Mountains to the seas and all of the
Roads in between, loving
one, then
Another, small shadows of Sunshine
Finding warmth, finding purpose,
Seeking
life’s meaning, trying to find
The secret to uncover the
Sunshine
Tired, Weary, and exhausted, giving
Up the journey. Waking in the midst
To find that I already know where
To find my Sunshine
It is the first light of day to
greet
Me with a kiss, it is the last
light of
Yet another day that I have lived and
Furthered myself in my destiny and
Learned that what I truly seek is the
Sunshine that Lives within the confines
Of my own life and heart.
For it is not another who can give me
This Sunshine...
It is only found within myself.
Checkered Flag Dreamin
The sun is hot, my forehead glistens
The pounding of my heart keeps pace
With the engine
The smell is dirt, rubber and fuel
The grip of my glove tightens the
Shifter the flag is held up high
Waving green and life begins
As the wheel tightens I lean into turn
Two there she is the magical
straight
Away her vision visits me each
Night in my dreams
Miles then hours I see her face
time
After time
The feeling she gives is known to us
Few racing is a life we all must do
Whether in life or behind this
wheel
I choose the latter for if only
you
Could see
Inside of this heart is a checkered flag
We all go through the turns in this
Race putting our foot hard on the gas
For each checkered flag we see and
Cross yet another race has been won
It doesn’t matter our position
We gave her our all that magical
Straight away
From Out Of The
Darkness…
and into the LIGHT
Have you ever awakened drenched in
The night’s cold sweat?
Have you ever opened your mouth to
Scream and nothing comes out?
Have you ever envisioned something so
Horrible, you could not look into its
Face? Have you ever felt yourself
Falling With no end in sight?
Have you ever seen a tragedy-taking
Place but you were frozen and unable
To move?
Do you know how it feels to look this
Horror
in the eyes and say you don’t
Scare me…..
Do you know how it feels to be touched
By this monster and beat it to the
Ground...Do you know how it feels to
Be surrounded in darkness and reach
For the light….
Can you imagine living with MS and
Being thankful for the Light…..
Can you imagine feeling as strong
As the wind and to be in control
Of this monster….
Can you imagine the peace we
find?
When we learn we can both exist….
Then you must know we look upon life
With such a greater desire to feel the
Sunshine upon our face.

of childhood
Running free through life
Looking for dangers and goals
to conquer
Finding energy and uplift
Around every corner
another adventure
The feelings inside we tried to understand
Emotions that fascinated us
With each new experience
We felt our growth
With each pain we began to live
A life not always fair but always there
How much more to learn
Before the end
Love was felt and given
freely at first, then cautiously guarded
Where have I traveled
I am now the age of my parents
How did I get here I wonder

My looks show age but my heart
says young
This is the place we had as a
goal
From the playground to here
Is what life is about
Where are you and have you
