This is a bit more like it. When it came to illustration number two, the publishing deadline allowed me an entire weekend to work on the drawing, and it shows - it’s all properly composed and the inking’s pleasingly vivid, and the joke isn’t nearly as basic as the first one.

It’s reasonably self-evident what the story was about, but just to clarify, it was focusing on a newly-refurbished nightclub in town which was keeping some students awake - quite uniquely, due to the fact that they were living next door and it was extremely noisy, and not because they were leaping up and down inside it until the small hours, drenching total strangers with alcopops and only able to speak to the people standing next to them by screaming directly into their ear. The irony, eh?
