In 1995, singer Jamey Jasta started hatebreed because of the then current state of Heavy music. He got together the members and together they began hatebreed. Combining heavy metal and hardcore to make one heavy hitting kick ass band. They recorded their first demo in '95 for only $150. They sold thousands of copies and went on to tour with such bands as Shelter, Snapcase, Biohazard, and Strife in 1996. Then after they released two split 7" on Jasta's record label "Stillborn Records." Later that year they realeased the "under the knife" ep, which caught the attentionof Victory records president Tony Brummel. Their record Satisfaction is the death of desire went on to sell more copies than any other debut on Victory records, and was in the Loud music top 10 for 20 weeks in 1998. Hatebreed mix their love for heavy music with the attitude and energy of hardcore and are taking the rock world by storm and won't be lettin' up any time soon. |
