| Aka: Ereinion, the Scion of Kings, and Gil-galad, the Star of Radiance are the names he was best known as. However, his names are as many as the versions of his origin. Finellach, Finlachen, Artanro, Rodnor and Findor are some of them. Looks: According to Peter Jackson, Mark Ferguson with a wig. According to Christopher Tolkien, another stereotypical Noldo. What, you still dont know what a stereotypical Noldo looks like? Tall, handsome, dark hair, grey eyes, signs of wear and tear. If you are severely disappointed, the fact that all but one Tolkiens versions call him son of Orodreth would make him golden-haired, tall and handsome, with blue or grey eyes. Happy now? |

| Smarts: Of all the High Kings of Noldor in Middle-earth he ruled the longest. If that doesnt speak in his favor, I dont know what will. Also, he was intelligent enough to understand that Annatar is not a nice guy. Unfortunately, not intelligent enough to wear a helmet when facing said Annatar in his much more evil incarnation. Personality: Valiant, brave, and nice enough to befriend humans. Grateful humans later befriended Sauron We are sad to admit we don't know more about him, but you should be happy - all the more you to explore. Cooking: He was raised by Cirdan, so probably he could catch fish and cook fish. Dont count on anything else he has a reputation to maintain, after all. So we hope you love seafood. In case you dont, please refrigerate leftovers and express-mail to Hellga. Of course, you are always welcome to cook yourself, or let the professional staff at his palace do the cooking and find better ways to spend time with Gil-galad. Fighting Skills: He. Defeated. Sauron. Of course, Elendil helped him, but still. Remember, his sword was long, his lance was keen Special Abilities: Being able to hold the remainder of Noldor together for millennia. No one wanted the job after his death, which proves how hard it was. Admire his selfless devotion. Competition: None known, though some of the slashier-minded among us might give you a list longer than my grocery bill. At least, he was never seen with anyone worth mentioning. In-Laws: You have a choice of Fingon and some non-entity female Elf, which was put into the published Silmarillion (though Christopher later admitted it was never more than an ephemeral idea) or Orodreth and another non-enitity female Elf, presumably a Sind. Economics: He was the High King of the Noldor. Lots of silver and gold jewelry guaranteed. If you make it into his will, you are set for life. Sex: As we have said, he was never seen with anyone worth mentioning, so we don't know for sure. However, judging from the glimpse of him in a battle, his testosterone levels run man-high, so we doubt you would be disappointed. Other: Other that his dubious lineage and the fact that he is going to die, we really cant find anything bad about him. Overall: What are you doing, still reading this prospect when you have at your fingertips a noble, rich, handsome Noldorin Elf who is guaranteed to stick around for more than three millennia? Grab him and run before other will catch up! |
