The Christ lived a perfect life due to His divine nature. Therefore when He died on the cross as a blood sacrifice, His blood was pure and able to cover all. Unlike the animal sacrifices in Judaism, Christ was able to enact an atonement that was permanent. And that atonement accepted by us allows us into God's presence, into union and communion with Him by ridding us of the sins that divided us at first. We are now able to come to Him freely, day or night, and ask Him anything we need. And if in keeping with God's will, we know He hears us and will answer. Our Maker becomes our Father and guides us, loves us, chastens us and strengthens us throughout life. We become His sons and daughters and take part in the inheritance of Heaven and of Earth. It gives the promise of life in the Millenial Kingdom, transformed into what our Savior has become - resurrected, perfect and powerful. |
