| ~*~*~*~BlackRose~*~*~*~ by: Letitia Jenkins Tis a day I got a rose A red rose that pricked the tip of my finger How my lover whisper a little call of fate How I loved him towards my heart One pedal falls as one began to crumble.... He was strange today by no doubt Eyes of emerald which gazed upon the light If only fate take me now then let me die upon his shadows But yet it lets me suffer Tis a day, Tis a night One pedal falls as one began to crumble.... Seven years later we was wed Such a beautiful morning of such notice We was happy or were we? Weaken he was, he payed no attention Gazing upon my eyes to his we were ment to be The white dove never lies But a raven layed upon the church waiting for the day One pedal falls as one began to crumble.... Ever since that day he gotten worst He was strong enough to give me butterfly kisses They was strong to hold me up Though they was weak for my fear Will he go or will he stay? Our children grew but live happy in other families now One pedal falls as one began to crumble.... I took him to a healer Maybe he will do well Or then again I loved him so More than myself I'll die for him For his wounds and for his blood He gave me one last look and said "You are my rose" Then slept the night away One pedal falls as one began to crumble.... He is with the heavens now I missed him so but yet never knew his name As I look at my rose it was black Sighing to myself I said "I am a black rose" And so the years went on.... Give me the sins upon the death of my husband Let ravens be welcomed to my stoop I welcome thee to my garden of the black rose..... |
