Chapter 13 :
It’s Time
She lay with her eyes closed,
knowing it was well after noon, knowing that they should leave. She felt his
cool fingers resting on her abdomen, his body spooning her on the floor. She
could smell the blood, feel in under her skin and it’s dried aftermath from the
previous night. She smiled and snuggled back into his body, wiggling her ass.
She felt him hardening as she wiggled which caused her to wriggled more.
She heard him growl softly,
“morning, Puppy.”
“Morning, Luv.” He kissed her
bare shoulder and licked the dried blood off her skin. “Some night.”
“Indeed, but we should go soon,
huh?”
“Soon, yes.” He kissed her neck
and then stopped. “Why?”
“Because when housekeeping comes
in here, I doubt she’ll look the other way.”
“She will if she’s dead, Luv.
Want. Take. Have.” She laughed at his turn of phrase. “Besides, you’ve got more
pressing matters to attend to.” He thrust his hips inward and she felt his cock
rub against her ass.
“And what would those be?” She
asked turning around to face her lover, her mate.
“My cock for one, it’s hungry
for you.”
Faith glanced down and looked
back up at him. “He doesn’t look too hungry.”
Quickly Spike reached down,
lifted her leg up and thrust home into her body. “Well he is.” He announced as
she moaned.
She rolled on top of him and
grabbed the dead girl’s wrist and glanced at her watch. “What the hell? I got
time.” She said as she impaled herself further on his steel rod. She began
slowly pacing herself as she rode him. He put his hands on her hips to guide
her but she grabbed them and slammed them against the floor above his head,
effectively putting her breasts at mouth level. “Suck me, Baby.” She ordered
and he was all too happy to take a nipple in his mouth.
Her skin was so creamy and she
was hot around him, he’d made the right choice in her as a mate. She’d make a
fine vampire, but he found himself not wanting to wait ten years for her. She
was moving too slow and he released her breast. “Faster, Bunny, Puppy’s gonna
make you sweat.”
She let his arms go and sat up,
straddling him and began bucking against him violently, slamming their bodies
together as she took his cock deep in her body. Her hair was wild and crimson,
her chest covered in words he’d written in blood on her the night before. He
pinched and squeezed her nipples as she screamed his name.
She looked down at his blue eyes
and smiled as she punched his jaw enough to get his golden eyes staring back at
her. She whimpered as he ran his blunt nail over her clit before rolling it
between his thumb and forefinger. “I love you, Baby.” She whispered, he just
nodded.
He quickly flipped her over and
began pounding her into the floor. She wrapped her legs around his waist,
drawing him deeper yet. Spike glanced at his ladylove and she pulled his face
into her neck. He pierced her skin lightly and she writhed underneath him as
her orgasm shot through her body. The blood filled with her hormones and he
drank in the richest of blood. He felt her teeth dig into his shoulder and he
growled as he came, spurting his seed in her body hard.
She listened to the sounds of
him drinking her life as she opened her eyes and examined her handiwork on his
shoulder. Spike pulled away from her neck and his lips were covered in her
blood. She watched his tongue snake out to lick it and she pulled his mouth to
hers. Her tongue darted out and they fought for the blood on his lip.
Faith pulled away and looked at
him. “What?” He asked.
“It’s just... nothing, never
mind.”
“Tell me Faith, there’s nothing
you can’t tell me.”
“It’s just that you can taste
me, I wanna taste you.”
“You do, Baby, just last night.”
“Not your cum, your blood.” He
sat there frozen just looking at her for what seemed like hours. “Spike?”
“Are you sure?” She nodded and
watched as he bit his wrist and held it up to her.
She swallowed the lump in her
throat and took his hand, bringing her lips to his bleeding wrist. She kissed
the wound at first as she got the first taste of his blood. She latched on
tighter and drank the red liquid from his dead veins until he jerked it away.
“Are yo-”
Just then there was a loud
banging on the door. They both looked to see the hinged slowly giving way.
“Shit!” She jumped up and grabbed her jeans and shirt as he did likewise. “What
do we do?”
“Run.”
“You can’t, it’s the middle of
the afternoon.”
“Then you go, run.”
“No. I won’t leave you.”
“I’ll be fine.”
“FAITH!? WE KNOW YOU’RE THERE!”
Came a shout from the other side of the door. “JUST COME QUIETLY!”
“The hunters I assume.” He said.
“You have to go, Baby.” He dragged her to the window of the bathroom and opened
it, carefully to keep out of the rays of sunlight. “Go.”
“Bu-”
“GO!” He lifted her out the
window and pushed her out onto the emergency stairs. “Go to Raven, she can
protect you.” He shouted as she heard the door give way and he closed the
window.
*Raven. Raven. Raven.* She
chanted in her head as she ran to the club. She knocked on the door and when
there was no response, she stepped back and ran at it, doing a flying sidekick
into it and knocking it down.
“HEY!” She heard the doorman
scream and she turned around and punched him in the nose, growling.
*Where’d that come from?*
She ran up the stairs, flung
open the curtain and collapsed on the floor gasping for air. Tears streamed down
her face and she felt Raven’s hand on her cheek.
“Don’t cry. What’s wrong?”
“They... they... they took
him... the hunters...” she gasped for breath and felt Raven pick her up and
place her on the bed.
“Calm down. ANTON, GET IN HERE!”
Faith turned as a minion opened
the curtain. “What is it M’lady?”
“It’s time.” He nodded and left
quickly.
“Time for what?” Faith asked her
when she caught her breath.
“Just rest Faith.”
“But...”
“Shh...” Raven whispered as she
passed her hand over Faith’s eyes. Faith fell into a deep sleep. She looked the
slayer over and ran her fingers along the girl’s veins. She closed her eyes and
could feel his blood coursing through her body, which had not rejected the
demon blood. “Interesting.”
“M’lady? It’s ready.”
“Perfect, thank you Anton.”
“Are you ready?”
“I thought it would take longer,
I thought I’d have more time. Give me a minute.” Anton nodded and left her
alone with the dark slayer. She could hear William calling for help in the back
of her mind and a thousand images bombarded her and clouded her vision. “The
time has come dear Faith. I thought we had more, but I was fooled. Forgive me,
Child.” She whispered the sleeping girl.
Chapter 14 : Transference
Faith woke up and was surrounded
by candles. She sat up and found herself laid out on a table in the center of a
large room. “What the fuck?”
“Relax Faith.” Faith looked up
to find Raven in a white satin dress, lace flowing behind her. She had an
incense holder and was filling the room with the fragrance.
“What’s going on?”
“It’s time my dear.”
“Time for what? NO! You said ten
years! You said we could have ten years! I don-”
“Hush child. I said ten years
and I meant it, but the time has come to open the bridge, to open the
connection.”
“What?”
The vampiress sat on the bed
gently and took Faith’s hand. “To unlock the secrets.” She whispered to Faith’s
ear.
“What are you talking about?
What’s with all the candles?”
“They are needed for the
ritual.”
“Where’s Spike? Did you get
him?”
“No.”
“Send your guys after him! You
said you’d give us protection and we weren’t protected! You owe us!”
“I owe you nothing! All that *I*
do is for *me* and me alone. I promised you nothing. I granted you asylum and
as you need my help, I’m going to give it. And it won’t be because I owe you.
You are mine girl! MINE to do with as I see fit.”
“Like hell I am.” Faith tried to
get up.
“Sit.” She tried to stop her
body from complying with the vampire’s direction, but she was helpless.
“Stop controlling me!”
“If you don’t cooperate, we’ll
never get this done. Now hush!”
“Get what done?” Faith asked but
Raven put her hand up and the room went dark.
Faith looked around but couldn’t
see anything. All the candles had gone out and she heard Raven’s forced deep
breathing. Raven then began to chant. “I call upon the ancient powers, sons of
darkness, daughters of light.” Just as they had gone out, all the candles relit
and burned higher and higher as she spoke. “We stand before you in ancient
song, Bring this child to thyne night!”
She watched Raven’s hands,
cupped together in front of her, as she chanted the same words over and over.
“I call upon the ancient powers, sons of darkness, daughters of light. We stand
before you in ancient song, Bring this child to thyne night!” A small light
began to glow in her palms and as she chanted it grew until it was as big as a
basketball.
The room was on fire. Faith felt
energy surging through her body, through the air and into her lungs. It was
almost as if bits of her blood were on fire, drawing from that energy. She felt
her body being drawn toward Raven and the ball that was floating to the
ceiling.
In Raven’s hand materialized an
old looking knife and she put it to her wrist. “Blood runs strong, and powers
greater. Take thee my blood and my make it your own. Find within, the darkness
there, Reject not my gift, but make it known.” Faith dropped to her knees under
the ball of light, before Raven as little droplets of the vampire’s blood
dripped on her cheek.
Her words echoed through Faith’s
being, almost singing to her blood. “Blood runs strong, and powers greater.
Take thee my blood and my make it your own. Find within, the darkness there,
Reject not my gift, but make it known.” Faith took Raven’s hand and put it to
her lips and drank. The ball dropped and Faith screamed as the blood and energy
surged through her body and she writhed in orgasm on the floor, pulling Raven
and her wrist with her.
*************
He sat chained to the truck
listening to what was being said outside, or trying to listen. It was dark in
the truck and he wasn’t sure how long he’d been there, not long, he wasn’t
hungry yet. He remember them coming in and knocking him out. He hoped Faith had
made it to Raven’s okay, though he knew she’d be worried. He just wanted her to
be okay. He tugged on the chains but they were no doubt magically enhanced.
*************
“Did it work?”
“We’ll see.”
“My sweet Bunny, please be
okay.”
“What should we do with him?”
“Kill him.”
“Should we wake her?”
“Leave her be.”
“How will you know?”
“Where is she Spike?”
Faith’s eyes darted open and she
sat up. “What the hell is going on?” She asked but no one was in the room.
“I don’t know.”
“Yes you do! Tell us where she
is OR DIE!”
“I’m already dead.”
“I hope she is able to control
it.”
Faith stood up listening to the
voices. She opened the curtain to find Raven standing with Anton. “What’s
happening to me?”
“What do you mean?” Raven asked.
“Do you hear them?”
“Hear who?”
“The voices.”
“Yes Faith, it worked. We are
bonded, I transferred some of my gift to you.”
“Maybe I don’t want it.”
“Yes. Just concentrate. Who do
you hear?”
“I hear people yelling at
Spike.” Faith said.
“Close your eyes.” Raven’s hand
passed over her face and she closed them. “Concentrate on silence.” All the voices
were mumbled and on top of each other. “Concentrate. Focus your energy. Find
your inner silence. Let the sounds drift away and find your peace.” Faith
opened her eyes and the voices were gone. “Are they gone?” Faith nodded.
“That’s what you need to do. Once you find your silence, you can learn to call
on one voice or another. Close your eyes and see him in your head.”
Faith closed her eyes and
concentrated on that wicked smile or radiant blue eyes. “Hear him call your
name and call him back.”
“I don’t know where she is. She
left. She found me and told me she’d kill me, then she left, thought you guys
were some kind of demon or something. She was scared and she left.”
“He’s lying.”
*Of course I am you bloody
imbeciles, think I’d tell you where my Bunny went?* “I’m telling you the
truth.”
*Spike? Are you there?*
*Bloody hell! I’m too hooked on
her. It’s one thing to see her face it’s another to hear her.*
*No Spike, it’s me, it’s Faith,
for real.* She kept his image in her mind and concentrated on his voice.
*How?*
*A spell, Raven transfered some
of her power to me. There was this light and some blood and I guess I can find
you because we’re connected. I don’t know. Where are you? What happened?*
*The Council. They’re looking
for you, say you need to answer for the crimes you committed. I guess they’ve
tracked us and put us together. I suppose they’ll try and use me to bring you
out.*
*Do you have any idea where you
are?*
*Besides chained to the inside
of a truck, not really. I’m trying to hear them, but the walls are pretty
thick. We’re moving though, started a few minutes ago. Got a bloody headache
from the poofs.*
*Okay, I’m going to find you and
we’ll kill them all.*
*That’s my girl!*
*I’ll talk to you soon.*
*Faith! I love you.*
*Back at you Puppy.*
Faith opened her eyes and Raven
was standing there. “The Council, they’re the hunters you knew about?”
“Yes. They want you to be
punished. What they do not realize or want to see is that it is far too late.”
“What time is it?”
“After dusk. I’ve got everyone
looking for them.” Faith looked down at Raven’s body, covered in a hunter green
satin dress.
“You look nice.”
“It’s been so long since I’ve
been out.”
