Biography: Johnny Cash was an amazing performer in country music and rock and roll, but let's look back on his early years. At the age of three his father bought a farm and moved his whole family to Dyess Colony Northeast of Arkansas. His family farmed twenty acres of cotten and other seasonal crops.Growing up Johnny was influenced my some music his mother listened to and other genres. For example folk, hyms, and railroad songs he heard.
In 1950, Johnny Cash was finished with high school and graduated. Looking for work in the city he set his sights on Detroit, but ended up in Pontiac, Michigan. There was nothing much for him there so he enlisted himself in the U.S. Airforce. In doing so he went to Texas to train and that is where he met his soon-to-be first wife, Vivian Liberto. Although being shipped to Germany he made a band there. Later, Johnny married Vivian when he was discharged in 1954. They both moved to Memphis, Tennessee. Johnny wanted to continue his music career so after working jobs like appliance salesman and other stuff, Johnny had a breakthrough with Sun records. Cash was in a band known as "The Tennessee Three" and their first hit single was "Hey Porter".
Later in Johnny's life he made it big, but his wife couldn't handle him leaving to his shows so they ended their marriage. Johnny became a drug addict. He did heroine and other illegal supplements. He was arrested on a tour for smuggling drugs in his guitar case. The only person who kept him sober, drug free and on the route to recovery was June Carter and Family. Cash joined them and sang with them on tour. He later married June Carter. Hits after hits Johnny bcame a country music superstar during the seventies and eighties. Although nothing could keep him down, he kept singing and eventually became the youngest inductee in country music hall of fame. In 2003 Johnny was nominated for MTV's Video Music Awards, but due to illness he coudln't make it. Sadly due to age and health June Carter Cash died in spring 2003 then Johnny later joined her in September 2003.
