The god of silence and revenge, this god hardly ever talked, so no one ever really knew what he was up to. (Being the god of revenge, they were probably better off not knowing.) Vidar is the son of Odin, and the giantess Grid. Being the second strongest among the gods, he was one of the few to survive Ragnarok.
