A ring owned by the dwarf Andvari, it was said to be bestowed with the power to lead its holder to gold and treasure. Loki stole the ring to help pay the Otter's ransom, but the dwarf cursed the ring so that any mortal that wore it would befall great tragedy. Sigurd gave the ring to Brynhild as a show of his love.
