Frost or rock giants. The Jotuns dwelled in Jotenheim, across the river that never freezes, from Midgard. The leader of the Jotuns was greatly feared king Thyrm, and the main city was called Utgard. Loki joined forces with the Jotuns and became their leader during Ragnarok.
