To test this theory, everyone used to throw rocks and sticks at the poor fellow, trying to see if they could hurt him. Then one sad day, Loki handed Baldur's blind brother Hoder some mistletoe and directed his aim. Pierced through the heart he was, (lucky shot I think, I mean what are the odds?) Odin, not too pleased, sent another son, Hermod, to Niflehiem to beg for his release. Hel being in a good mood that day said sure, but only if everything on earth were to weep for him. Well everyone did, cept an old woman in a cave, (THAT WITCH!), so in Niflehiem he stayed.
