Flying high in the sky, without a care in the world, Janet the magical butterfly soared up and down. Looking and hoping for someone to play with.
Up and down, round and round she flew, looking into all the gardens as she flew.
Then out in front of her she saw James and George playing in their back garden. Swooping down she landed on the rose bush at the back of the garden.
"Hello James and George", she said, "Do you fancy playing a game with me?"
"Who said that?" wondered George
James just looked puzzled, as he heard the voice as well.
"It's me I'm Janet, down on the rose bush at the bottom of the garden.
Both boys looked at each other and ran the whole length of the garden, stopping smartly beside the roses.
"Hello" said the boys excitedly, "We didn't know butterflies could talk and how did you know our names".
By now the boys were giggling away to themselves.
"I'm a magical butterfly, who goes around to play with children and maybe even make their wishes come true".
James and George laughed and rolled in the grass, they couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"Can you get us two of the biggest ice cream sundaes, with all the flavours and a strawberry on top", shouted George.
No longer had he finished talking when two of the biggest ice creams sundaes appeared, with the largest strawberry on top. The boy's eyes grew with wonder, as they quickly grabbed a spoon before it disappeared.
Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla quickly disappearing as the boys made quick work of the ice cream.
"Let's go and play Hide and seek" said the butterfly.
The Boys quickly ran off down the garden "we're ready", they shouted.
The butterfly flew down the garden, she knew it wasn't going to take long as the boys were giggling away. George had hidden behind a tree and his feet were sticking out. James hid behind the garden shed but his feet were sticking out as well.
She landed first on James's nose "Got you", she said. James tries to stare at the butterfly flapping at the end of his nose. "Yes", he giggled, "Lets go and find George now".
Quickly she flew off, heading straight to where George was hiding, with James running and giggling behind her.
She came from behind George and landed on his ear. "Oh", he giggled, "You've got me as well"
The boys have never laughed or had so much fun in their lives.
"What shall we play now?" asked George
Sadly the butterfly replied "Its time for me to go, but I will come back another day with treats and even more games to play"
The boys waved and giggled as Janet soared into the sky, looking for more children to make their happy day.
