I close my eyes,
as the darkness becomes like a slideshow.
Pictures of your face,
reality becomes virtual.
As I reach out, I feel your touch.
Though my memories can be endless,
I don't even have a place to start.
There are only so many nights.
There are only so many hours.
When I awake, I only wish I could sleep forever,
keep you behind my closed eyes,
because I know once they open,
the light blinds me.
Pictures of your face vanish,
a brutal reality.
Though my dreams can be endless,
I've never had one come true.
There are only so many nights.
There are only so many hours.
Only So Many
