Living in Lonliness
Living in lonliess, misery,
not knowing why.
Living without the things you miss,
not knowing why.
How could you live,
without knowing why?
You awake from a dream,
you don't understand.
You sit thinking in a daze,
trying to read between the lines.
You've never even understood,
what was written clearly.
As you skim with your finger ascross the paper,
you see your blood trailing behind.
Sick of feeling your life has boundaries,
instead of neverending possibilities.
You crumble it up in your hand,
toss it in the fire,
watch it burn, darken, fall apart.
Getting closer,
until you feel the heat on your face.
Wanting to run free,
fly without being shot down.
Looking around for an escape,
you push open the window.
Standing tall on the edge,
edge of freedom, no more chains.
You close your eyes,
let your weight bring you down.
