Invisible
Look at me, look deeper then you ever have before.
Hold my hand and don't let go,
Kiss my lips, but do it really slow.
Wrap your arms around me, hold me close.
Tell me you love me, and mean it more with every word.
You know that story wit the stone and sword?
You can place it in,
but you won't be able to pull it back out.
I don't have to experience it,
to know what it's all about.
Just kill my soul, and leave,
I know the pain you feel,
will be as worse as the pain I'll receive.

Would you prefer if I was invisible?
Without a good-bye, I'll disappear.
Silence is all you'll hear.
When I walk by in a crowd,
I'll just be another unfamiliar face.
In this dark place,
when you find your light,
let it shine bright,
even if you have to put up a fight.

Don't drive the sword in,
commit the worst of all sins.
Here I am, standing helpless,
looking at each other motionless.
I begin to close my eyes, and wait for the rain.
The thunder rumbles, lightning crashing,
wet drops fall all around, wind thrashing.
My eyes open to see the rain falling on my skin.
As you look at me, about to kill what's within.
Lightning crashes down between,
You take a step back.
The pain too much for me to care.
I close my eyes, although I can't see you,
I know you're still there.

Would you rather me be invisible?
Without a last word, I'll open my eyes,
and leave, no good-bye's.
No blood will be shed, no pain,
but it won't stop the rain.
Lightning will always crash,
It will light up this dark place,
only long enough to see no one there.

As you take a step forward,
I'll be taking a step back.
When the rain ceases, the wind stops blowing,
until then, there will be no way of knowing.
Are you going to drive it in?
Going straight for my heart, killing the light in my eyes.
As you watch, my soul immediately dies.
Place it down on the ground, kick it aside.
Let me be by your side.
I'm your light, let me shine bright.
Chase away the dark, because I know,
away from you, is not where you want me to go.
Invisible never,
Visible forever.
