It may have been at The Grange, but it still rocked. Me and Emily set off from our last day of crappie college and got the number 9 bus to lye and walked to school! We walked all the way up the sodding hill only to find that Ian didn't need anything doing ~ so I was rather miffed! Even though me and Emily still got invited to the "pre-gig fry-up", but greasy food before singing wasn't a really good plan - so we passed! We turned up again at 3.45pm and Lee was there!!! YAY! He helped me set up and got me a damn amp coz the stage speakers didn't work right! We sat - got the sound levels right-ish - ate Mikes Galaxy and got very boared!!! Me and Emily had just about had enough of listening to Ian "show off" (In Ian "I'm really good at this!" fasion!) when Mike took the stand and played lots of The D!!! I'd like to add at this point - Wow and clapping of hands to Mike for his guitar goodness! We went to find refuge some place quiet so I could warm up my voice! Me and Emily found the Games Hall and we sat and sang for a while! She had to come up with songs for me to test my voice against ~ and she did, but I ended up singing Celine Dion and Daniel Beddingfield! Oh and noway did I see if I could hold the note for as long as Whitney Huston can in "I will always love you" ... Dum de dum!!! So we notice that show time is approaching so we set off back to the hall! Ian runs up to me; "Dude where you bin?" I laugh!!!! Emily get abducted by my strange father ... NOOOOOO!! I noticed that JOE WAS WATCHING! ARRRRRR! That big nuttter Ian had sold him tickets!! I went to sleep outside B1 and everone was worried ~ apart from Ian! Well we went on and rocked ~ even though you couln't hear me on the first song ~coz the nutter formally know as Ian had turned up me thinks!!! The second song we did rocked the case and all the audience loved it! We came off went to the back of the hall and awaited comments from family and friends as we left! Joe gave me the best comment; "YOU were great!!" As he gave me a hug - WOW! |
