Chapter Three

Alexis awoke to a gentle tapping on her shoulder. Her eyes fluttered opened to meet a pair of beautiful blue eyes.

"Miss, I'm sorry to wake you, and believe me I know how precious sleep is but we've landed!" Alexis looked around the plane realizing she was the last one in coach. She jumped up and once again cried out, "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!"

"Whoa! It's ok," the man tried to assure her. She shoved her discman into her backpack while the man got her other bag out of the overhead compartment.

"Thank you....."

He reached out his hand while saying "JC Chasez."

"Thank you JC!" Alexis replied shaking his hand. "So we are finally in Dallas!?" she asked excitedly.

JC gave her a sad look and said, "Sad to say but we're not! We've got to switch to another plane because there is something wrong with this one. We are in...Mississippi."

Her excitement was quickly shot down but with an attempt to hide her disappointment and frustration she replied "Mississippi? That's Bass Country!" JC laughed at her remark.

"So you recognized us uh?" But he could see something was wrong. "Are you ok? I mean it's not that bad!"

Alexis cried out a short summary of the previous events as he listened and occasionally stepped back to avoid her sharp arms and hand gestures. (She definately talked with her hands.)

Lance watched the two of them from his seat. He saw the disappointed and frustrated look on her face and wondered what could make her feel that way..... POP!

"Ouch! What the hell?" Lance yelled rubbing the back of his head. A man with a goatee and much improved hair style stood behind him.

"Why aren't you there instead of JC?" Chris asked.

"I...I don't know! I saw her there and wanted to go and wake her and talk to her but I couldn't move!" He just stared at her trying to figure out why it was so hard for him. It never was this hard before.
