Once they got to the hotel, it dawned on Alexis that she didn't have the kind of money on her that the room was going to cost. She remembered that her parents gave her a credit card for emergencies. She knew her parents would flip once they saw how much she had spent on a hotel room, but this WAS an emergency. And if there ever was a time to use it, this was it. In her book, spending a night with *NSync (even if in different rooms) was an emergency.
She looked down at her backpack and pulled out her wallet, all the while hearing her mother and father's voices nagging her "Alex, what where you thinking? Are you crazy?" Just then she felt a warm, soft hand over hers. She looked up a little surprised.
"And just what do you think you are doing?" Lance asked.
"I'm gonna pay...."
"Don't worry about it! It's already taken care of! Come on your room is...469!"
"No, Lance wait! You�ve been more then great to me... to let me fly with you, and your giving me a ride tomorrow! I can't let you pay for the room too!"
Lance just shook his head and gave her bags to the bus boy to take to her room. He began walking to the elevators and she began to follow when she felt a tug at her shoulder. She turned around to face Justin. Alexis gave him a confused look.
"Alexis, can I tell you something?" he began. "I can tell you like Lance. I can tell you don't want him to think you're using him because he is Lance Bass. And I'm sure you feel bad accepting everything he's done but don't. Let Lance do this for you. He seems to be really happy and really into you. I haven't seen him act like this around a girl since...well since Danielle. She tore his heart up and it's taken him a long time to forget and recoup. Please let him do this for you!"
Alexis smiled and nodded at Justin. He smiled and then noticed Lance waving at then to hurry up. The two joined Lance on the elevator.
"What were you two talking about?" he asked.
"I was just warning Alexis that if you started rambling about Mississippi to just nod, smile and step back to a safe distance," Justin joked. Alexis let out a small laugh but Lance did not look amused.
They stepped off the elevator onto their floor. The others were already in their rooms. Justin said goodnight and went to his room. Lance walked Alexis to her room.
"Gnight! See you tomorrow!" he smiled.
"Yeah you too..." he surprised her with a gentle kiss on her lips, leaving a tingling sensation and a yearning for more. He pulled away and the two stood there smiling and staring at each other. They said goodnight in unison. H watched her until she was inside her room, and then headed to his room.

RING! RING! RING!!!!
"Hello?" a sleepy voice answered.
"He kissed me!" Alexis shrieked into the phone not bothering to hide her excitement.
"Uh.. Wha...? Who? Alex?"
"Yeah, he kissed me!"
"WHAT?!?! OK, Alex, listen very carefully to me. Go and find the bottle that you got those pills from and read the label to me... OR tell me what crack you've been smoking!"
"NO, NO!! Sorry, Kris! You won't believe what all has happened to me!" Alexis proceeded to explain the eventful story as Kirsten listened in disbelief.
"Oh shit! My rents! Let me call you back in fifteen, ok?" She hung up the phone and called her parents quickly explaining her situation. Then she called Kris back. Even though the two girls knew they needed sleep, they continued to talk through the night.
