me and john have known each other for about four years now. we have been together for more than 2 yrs, 3 yrs in october...yay..i cant wait i just love anniversaries. well the story of our being is that john had just transferred to SHS and i saw him and i liked him..besides he was in a few of my classes.
well the whole jr yr was just about over and prom was coming up. see i used to tell my best friend pax that i was going to go with him to prom but in reality i was too scared to ask and i already knew he wouldnt ask me because i was like one of those girls...yah you know the smart athletic jockish popular loud high school kids.
i liked him like alot i saw him everyday too and it drove me crazy... well prom rolled up really quick. i wasnt going to go because i was going to go with my friend but that didnt work out so i was just going to not go at all. but i wanted to go though because hey it was prom. well prom was on friday and it was like the wednesday and i finally decided i was going to go, so i bought my tix after school and hey hey guess who was in back of me waiting to buy his tickets....of course it was john. i kept looking back and smiling.
finally i got my tix and me and my friend pax were leaving the room and when we were out side i was like hey did you see him..i wonder if he has a date? should i ask him? she was just laughing at me because i liked this boy so much. well anyway after thinking about what i was going to say to him he comes walking out and i am still trying to come up with something good so that i wont make a fool of myself and get rejected. well so yah anyway i just took a breath really fast and i was like hey john.. youre going to prom right? do you have a date?
he said yes to going and no to having a date. in my head i was like YES. i with a funny look on my face said do you want to go with me? he had a funny look on his face too like a surprised look. like what? you want to go with me? well of course i did if not then why would i ask. he said i guess so. yah i will go to prom with you.
geez it was so funny. afterwards i walked him half way to his truck and we discussed how things were going to go...like where i lived so he could pick me up. haha and dinner....hhahaha i told him he has to cook me dinner. we had never spoke ever before this so it was a bit awkward but this was something i wanted for so long and yah thats where me and john began. funny thing is that we didnt even kiss or anything that night. all we did was go to prom, we didnt start dating til like way way later.
i did write letters to him until the end of school(jr yr) and surprisingly he wrote back but it was nothing like i like you and i want to be with you it was more like getting to know each other...until october that same year(2000) we started actually being a couple. but we did go on a dinner & movie date at the end of jr yr. |
