Kian’s Facts

-If Kian was to advertise in a lonely hearts column, here's the sort of thing you might see: Floppy haired leprechaun with blue eyes, into sport, music and jumping out of planes. Has a body Brad Pitt would die for and seeks very cute 17 to 25 year old girlfriend for love and romance. No hairy armpits please.

-Kian thinks that the best person to go to the cinema with is a girlfriend/boyfriend but your mates can be OK too!

-Kian thinks that the best place to sit in the cinema is either in the middle or on the back row because you get a pain in your neck sitting at the front!

-Kian's top five clothes designers are: 1. Levis 2. Gucci 3. Maharishi 4. Jean Paul Gaultier 5. Dolce And Gabanna

-Apparently, Kian gets drunk after just two bottles of beer!

-Kian thinks the video for Seasons In The Sun is OK despite the fact that it has no storyline. "Some people say it's boring but it depends which way you look at it.  It just shows the five members of the band. I suppose everyday people who aren't fans don't want to look at five guys singing - they would want a storyline, but that video was done for our fans."

-Kian always tries to make new years resolutions but says he shouldn't. "To be honest I never ever keep them!"

-Kian's favourite film is Titanic. "It's the best love story ever and perfect for seeing with a girlfriend", he says.

-Kian likes "Taz" the Tasmanian Devil and Tweetie Pie and has a pair of boxer shorts with them on.

-Kian's not the only one who was pleased with his solo Smash Hits Magazine cover. His Mum told Smash Hits she loves it too and that it's been plastered all over his home town of Sligo!

-Kian likes to collect souvenirs from all around the world. "In Japan I got a Japanese fan and in Australia I bought a boomerang. I like to collect stuff like that - something traditional from that country."

-Kian had his first kiss when he was nine round the back of the Mervin community centre in Sligo!

-Kian's top five things to do on the beach are: 1. Swim 2. Play football 3. Sunbathe (not without sun cream though) 4. Take romantic walks 5. Eat ice cream.

-Kian doesn't drink coffee. "I don't drink it at all, but if I was to drink it, it'd be very strong with loads and loads of sugar and the only reason I'd drink it was if I really needed to wake up."

-Kian reckons he's been on dates with over thirty girls but has had only three serious relationships.

-Kian is horrible to Nicky about his fear of lifts. He always pretends that the lift is stuck when they are in it.

-Kian's favourite food is steak and chips.

-Kian's life was once saved by a washing line. He slipped and fell off a balcony whilst on holiday and the only thing that saved him was the fact that his foot got caught in the washing line and broke his fall.

-Kian has impersonated Marilyn Monroe and Cilla Black for variety shows.

-Kian takes size 8 shoes.

-Kian was really naughty when he was little. He was always smashing his neighbours windows.

-When Kian broke up with his first serious girlfriend, he was gutted. The night he split up with her, he went to a club and ended up spending the night slumped in a corner crying his eyes out.

-Kian loves playing the piano. He got up to grade eight in his exams and reckons that if he wasn't in the band he'd be a piano teacher.

-Kian used to be a kissogram. His uniform consisted of a pair of see through trousers, some polka dot boxers, a dickey bow tie and lots of oil. Ooh!

-Kian's first proper long term relationship was with a girl called Sonia.

-Kian has a tattoo on his left ankle. It's a Chinese symbol that represents spirit. He had it done in Australia.

-Kian won the same award three times for reciting poetry in a poetry competition and got to keep it!

-When Westlife are out and about, Kian has been known to moon at car drivers from the tour bus windows.

-Kian loves clothes and never leaves the house unless he's looking 100% perfect. He even lays his clothes out the night before to make sure everything 'goes'.

-Kian loves buying aftershave. Apparently his favourites are Jean-Paul Gaultier, Polo Sport and Joop.

-Kian is scared of horses.

-Kian hates having to wear make-up for photo shoots. He reckons it clogs up his pores.

-When Kian was 12, he was really into rock music and he grew his hair. "I used to wear a bandana too - just like Axel Rose!", he says.

-An over-excited fan in the Far East tore one of Kian's silver rings off his finger.

-One night when Kian was on a camping trip, one of the girls went out for a walk and saw a banshee hovering over a tree. The next night she went out for another walk with some friends and saw it again. Kian and the rest of the campers didn't sleep very well for the rest of the trip and who can blame them.

-Kian once had a very embarrassing kissing incident with a girl who was slightly crossed eyed. "We leaned into kiss each other but she missed and kissed the wall behind me!" he laughs.

-Kian pierced his own ear when he was younger. "I did it with a pin and it really hurt!" he says.

-It used to take Kian ages to get his hair sorted out in the mornings, but now it only takes about ten minutes. His technique is thanks to his hairdresser "who is a great teacher" and his hair product, Dax Wax.
