Today will go down in History...
What happened:

8:45 am - a hi-jacked commercial airplane crashes into one of the World Trade Center Towers (one of the twin towers, located in NYC), and creates a gaping hole in the 110 story building, and sets the whole building on fire.  Power goes out in the other Tower and people try and get down 110 stories by stairs...which usually takes 5 hours.  NOTE: OVER 150,000 PEOPLE GO TO THE WORLD TRADE CENTER EVERY DAY.

9:03 am - a different hi-jacked commercial airplane crashes into the second Twin Tower and explodes.  Now both buildings are burning. 

9:17 am - All NYC area airports are shut down.

9:21 am - All NYC transportaion (subway, buses, bridges, tunnels etc.) are shut down.

9:40 am - All airports in the United States stop all airflight operations for the first time in History.

9:43 am - a hi-jacked commercial airplane crashes into the military section of the Pentagon, sending up tons of smoke, starting both a fire and an evacuation.

9:45 am - The White House is evacuated.

10:05 am - The south tower of the World Trade Center collapses, sending fatal debree into the streets below and clouds of smoke quickly throughout the city.

10:10 am - Part of the Pentagon collapses.

10:13 am - The UN evacuates ( over 12,700 people plus visitors).

10:24 am - US announces that all aircrafts have been diverted to Canada.  (Thats thousands of people).

10:28 am - The north tower of the World Trade Center collapses, sending fatal debris into the streets and even more deadly smoke throughout the city.

11:18 am - American Airlines reports two missing airplanes...

11:26 am - United Airlines announces a missing airplane...

1:27 pm - A state of emergency is declared in Washington.

4:10 pm - Building 7 of the World Trade Center (47 stories high) is on fire.  Smoke is still billowing fatally out of the other (whats left of them) towers.

5:20 pm - Building 7 collapses.

6:00 pm - Explosions heard in Kabul, Afghanistan, which is home of one of the suspects(?)...


7:47 pm - NYPD stated that at least 78 officers were missing and that 600 firemen have been killed so far.


*At one time, another aircraft crashed in Pennsylvania, but I'm not sure when...
