My Citrus Page
Hi, my name is Betty and I live in British Columbia, Canada. Prime citrus growing area, eh?  This site will be about my learning experiences with growing citrus in containers in our not so friendly climate. I will be posting pictures of my various citrus, explaining my watering, feeding schedules. Hopefully everything will be a success, but if not... hoping that I, as well as others, will learn from my mistakes.

I hope you enjoy my info and my pictures. Please feel free to email any comments, suggestions to me. They will be GREATLY apreciated!

A bit of history on why I want citrus tree's.  I guess it started when I was a little kid, a local greenhouse had oranges... I thought that was just too cool.  I put it outside my head, like when would I ever have a greenhouse. Well, abut 5 years ago, I really started trying to find a business somewhere in Canada that carriedtrees... NO luck, even my local nursey had a ton of problems finding citrus. So... every few months I would call around, look online, see what I could find. NOTHING. Finally I gave up. Until recently. I started really researching citrus trees, mainly lemons. I joined many online forums, groups... and from these groups I discovered SO many varieties I never ever thought of. Kumquats, limes, lemons, oranges... oh my! In my search for info, through the forum I found several amazing ppl that pointed me in the right direction to purchase citrus trees locally!

I've decided to get a Meyer Lemon, Bearrs lime, Key lime (in case my seedlings fail) page or trovita orange, Kumquate, Limequat and I know.. not a citrus, but I also really want a pomegrante.

Definatlky check back over the next month for updated key lime pictures and... as of the 15th of April... I will be bringing home my baby trees from the nursery.  Most will either have fruit on or flowers. Exciting eh? I will definatly share ALL pics!
