GriffithxLucian

Ok, so after That Event currently unspecified because it gives away important plot, Griffith and Astrid and Darius are walking through the forest. Suddenly, Astrid, since she is speshul, senses a mortal nearby. Griffith volunteers to investigate. He goes a bit further into the woods and finds Lucian. Griffith looks at him, and is totally infatuated by him. I mean, Lucian is a pretty good-looking kid. Griffith asks him if he knew the people involved in That Event. Lucian did, but That Event kinda had a huge emotional impact on him, so all he's really capable of doing is being totally indifferent to everything, so he doesn't really say anything. Griff offers to make it all better and he totally sucks his blood and turns him into a vampire.

Now, a year later is when Griff makes that sekrit bond with Lucian. Lucian is still kind of scarred by That Event, but he has enough emotion left to be against this whole bond thing, thankyouverymuch. Griffith doesn't care, 'cause Lucian's his as far as he's concerned. I'm not sure how this whole bond thing works, though. 'Cause I'm lazy and can't think of anything right now. :D

So for pretty much the 165 years before the plot they had a very strange relationship. Griffith was pretty much being selfish and superficial when he turned Lucian. He wanted to keep Lucian the same physically forever, you see, and he didn't take into account Lucian's feelings. As the years went by he did start to think, "Well crap, I'm insensitive, aren't I? That's... not very good." So he did start trying to, you know, have conversations with Lucian and make him happy. Or at least get Lucian's consent before having his way with him.

And Lucian's feelings towards Griff? Well, as I so wrote it in a section of the story, Lucian "couldn't discern between love and hate." Lucian really doesn't know. He doesn't even want to know. Because he's stuck with Griff, and if it's hate, well, that makes the situation particularly unagreeable. So Lucian tries not to think about it. Of course, if he knew Griff's tie-in with That Event, then he'd make up his mind in a second.

AlexisxLucian

Alexis popped up about 53 years after Griffith turned Lucian. Now, Alexis was a servant at some castle and he was fascinated with vampires. He'd heard stories from the peasant folk, but his master personally thought vampires were bullshit. But Alexis didn't care. Whenever an errand had to be run in the nearby village, Alexis would always go, 'cause he wanted to get vampire info.

So one day, Alexis and some other servant went on an errand, and as they were going back to the castle, night fell. And wouldn't you know it, Griff and the gang were in the same general area! They attack, and Astrid kills unnamed!servant. Alexis, a pretty good speaker in his own right, convinces them not to kill him. Astrid begins to like him and asks him if he'd like to be a vampire. Alexis doesn't really want to be eternally damned, thankyouverymuch. Astrid settles on granting him just regular, soul-keeping immortality. Alexis agrees. Now he can only really be killed if he's, well, mortally wounded.

Anyway, Alexis joins the gang and gets to know everyone. But when he tries to learn about Lucian, he doesn't learn much. Alexis has a hunch that something happened to Lucian besides the whole vampire thing, and he asks Griff. Griff tells him about That Event, but he tells Alexis not to tell Lucian about his tie-in. Alexis agrees, and he begins treating Lucian like a normal, human person. Lucian warms up to him and even regains some of old self; he actually smiles every once in a while now.

Alexis soon takes a liking to Lucian in a more-than-friends way. Not really love or lust, kind of somewhere in between. He doesn't let Griff know it, though. Luckily for him, Griff is, in reality, an oblivious idiot. Alexis starts liking Lucian more and more each year until it is love, and he tries to hide it because he doesn't know if Griff only acts oblivious or really is. And, as I said before, it's really the latter. But you can't tell 'cause Griff is talented like that.

Now, Lucian kind of subconsciously knows that Alexis hearts him, but he isn't sure. But Lucian knows that he likes Alexis, and he feels guilty about it because of Griff. Nevertheless, it makes him happy whenever Alexis spends time with him or comforts him after he has an unhappy encounter with Griff or whatever else.
