Son of some samurai, ex-pickpocket, now Kaoru's student. Wants to be strong and hates being called a kid.

Variously known as brat, kid, and goodness knows what else, he nonetheless is an important member of the series. He's very funny, especially when he goes into pissed-off SD mode. When he grew older he was so cool and looked so much like Sano that I wondered why I didn't notice him earlier.
