Grandaughter of the previous Oniwabanshuu Okashira, besotted with Aoshi. Ran all over Japan to look for him. Declared herself Okashira after Aoshi turned bad.

She's cute AND cool (damn... I just suddenly realised that my vocabulary is a little limited... everyone's either cute or cool or both) She's never really down for more than a moment or two (except where aoshi is concerned ^_~... and sometimes not even then) It's funny how I can like her so much and detest Kaoru when the two are really quite similar.

Of course she can be incredibly childish, impulsive ane violent. (Or rather, she is incredibly childish, impulsive and violent most of the time. *sweatdrop*) It adds tons of comic relief.

And since I always have to add my bit on any RK controversy, here's my take on who's the true Oniwabanshuu Okashira: Aoshi-sama! True, Misao did declare herself Okashira when Aoshi forsook them to ally with Shishio, and she did a fantastic job, but then after he came back I think he took up the title again. Just look at the Remeberance arc: when Aoshi fought Gein he made this little speech about eliminating the forces of dark evil by working in the shadows, and how it was his last duty as the Okashira of the Oniwabanshuu to end the existance of the Oniwabanshuu with a flourish . (ok, so that was a really rough translation, from my copy which is in chinese which was translated from japanese and there to english, but he DID say the bit about his last duty as okashira! he did! HE DID!) After which, presumably, he'll become the boss of a little inn called the Aioya...
