What's in a Name?
DJ Romeo: I wanted my CD to be different.  To bring new beats and new ideas to hip-hop.  I come from an upper middle class background and entering into the hip-hop sound arena is different.  It's not what people expect.  I want to make waves and that's what I hope this CD does...

Why Crazy 8 Productions?
DJ Romeo: Big Nate and I tried a few names but couldn't really settle on any for sometime.  At one time we were Sunblast Productions and then we had an R&B group Entity...  Nothing really stuck until Crazy 8 Productions came up and it was pretty much out of the blue...  It's funny because I was writing song lyrics long before this and they always came in sets of eight, I just never realized it.

Who do you look up to for inspiration and guidance in your production efforts?
DJ Romeo: Timbaland because he's reppen' the 757...  He's beats are very original and the baby sounds are crucial...  Shoutie's to The Neptunes, another 757 product as well...  Babyface and DJ Clue were also big influences... I have a pretty wide variety of people I liek to for ideas...  Everything is still original, but credit is due to my predecesors...

This is where it all began...
