A young woman of about 25 sat on the mustard yellow sofa. Her
deep purple hair cut to her shoulders, held neatly back with an orange hair
band. Her beautiful emerald eyes staring into nothing.
Obviously she was deep in thought.
“Faye, are you ok?” Faye looked up to see Spike leaning
against the door. He intrigued her, his tall figure, his fuzzy mop of moss
green hair, his warm smile, but most of all, his mismatched eyes. In his eyes
she had no control; she didn’t need anyone or anything. But at the moment she
had no time to get lost in his eyes.
“Yeah I’m fine” she said with a small smile.
“Don’t lie to me Faye; something’s been bothering you for the
past few days.” Spike frowned, his eyebrows forwarded.
“So?” Faye scuffed.
“Well what’s wrong?” Spike persisted.
“It’s got nothing to do with you Spike!” Faye shouted,
throwing her arms into the air.
“It has everything to do with me…” He swallowed and bowed his
head.
Faye got up and gave Spike a long, cold stare. Finally she
walked to her room leaving Spike feeling angry and hurt.

“Who does he think he is? My problems are none of his business.”
Faye threw herself on her bed. ”What am I saying…?” She clutched a pillow and
let a weak smile creep onto her lips. “He just cares about me.” The thought
brought a blush to her pale cheeks.
Hearing a series of tapping noises, Faye rolled over and
looked at the door.
“Who is it?” She spoke up.
“It’s me Faye…I just came to say I’m sorry.” Spike wet his
lips and stared down at the ground.
"No, I should be the one apologizing that was really
selfish of me.” She closed her eyes.
“Well, if you ever need to talk, I’ll be here.” He mumbled.
Faye listened to the sound of spikes foot steps as he walked away, before she
rolled back over.

Faye walked through the doorway, and looked at Spike, gave a
small smile, then looked down at the floor.
“Jet,” she said, walking forward slightly. “You should tell
Ed to take a bath…”
“She can do it herself.” Jet looked at Spike and realized
what was going on. Quietly getting up he grabbed Ed by the t-shirt and carried
her to the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.
Walking behind Faye, Spike put his arms around her waist and
started nibbling on her neck. He held her close and she closed her eyes rolling
her head back just enough.
“Spike,” she sighed.
“Mmm…” he mumbled. She let out a
choked gasp of breath as his right hand ran over her stomach and inched its way
around the hem of her top.
“I…I have something to tell you.” Faye closed her eyes, and
pulled him away. She took a step away from him.
“What?” He cooed.
“I’m pregnant.” Spike stepped towards her and squeezed her
closer, resting his head on her shoulder. He smiled and kissed her neck.
“That’s great.” He smiled, reassuring her.
Faye grimaced, biting down on her lower lip. “No, it’s
not....” Spike blinked his brown eyes several times.
“You don’t want it?” He closed his eyes and bowed his head.
Faye shook her head. “I do, but…” She gritted her teeth. “The
baby isn’t yours.” Spike snapped his eyes open and let go of Faye. She turned
around and looked him in the eyes.
His eyes narrowed and he looked her over. “Well who’s is it?”
Spike demanded, clenching his fists.
“Erm…Vicious,” Faye replied softly, looking at the floor
guiltily. ”When we had that argument the other month, and I ran away, well…I
slept with him, and now I’m pregnant.” She bit down on her lower lip. She knew
he was angry, but she couldn’t not tell him.
Spike looked at her in disgust, shaking his head in disgust
he said, “You are just a…” He snarled gritting his teeth “A whore!” He turned
on his heel and stormed down the corridor.
“Spike, Spike please—” Spike slammed the bathroom door shut
so hard that it bounced back and hit Ed in the face.
“What’s up with him?” Jet asked, walking into the living
room. He stopped dead, his eyes fixed on Faye. Her face was tearstained, blotchy
and streaked with mascara.
“Jet, what have I done?” Faye brought her hands to her face;
she could feel the hot tears forming in her green eyes.

Spike punched out with his left fist followed by his right.
He leaned against the window and stared out at the millions of passing stars.
What had he, Spike Spiegel, done to deserve this? First she
had lost Julia to Vicious, now he had lost Faye as well. When was Vicious going
to stop? No. This was Faye’s fault; she chose to sleep with him. What she has
done to Spike was just cruel, but why did he still love her so much?
Letting out a growl of frustration, Spike turned and kicked
the punching bag, knocking him to the floor as it rebounded.
“Why?!” he shouted.

“What did I do Jet?” Faye asked, calming down.
“What would you normally do?” He frowned.
She pierced her lips together. “It shouldn’t be fair for
either of us to deal with this.”
“Why don’t you try talking to Spike again?” Jet suggested.
“I don’t know, he probably won’t
want anything to do with me.” A lump grew in Faye’s throat as she said this.
“What do I do about the baby?”
“Only you can make that decision Faye.” Jet got up and went
to his room of bonsai trees, leaving Faye to make the toughest decision of her
life.

Heading towards Spike’s training room, Faye pondered over her
decision. Was it the right choice?
‘Stop thinking like that Faye Valentine. Of course it was the
right choice, you don’t really want a screaming brat hanging around anyway.’ The
more she thought this, the more she wondered.
Faye stopped at the door, and looked at Spike, her emerald
eyes filling with tears. He lay on the floor silent and motionless. He lay so
quiet and still that he looked almost lifeless, and this scared Faye.
“Spike?” She
said softly, stepping towards him.
“What do you want?” He
barked.
“I’m really sorry.” Spike sat up, a small snigger leaving his
lips.
“You’re sorry. Do you really expect me to hold you close and
say ’it’s ok Faye, I forgive you for sleeping with Vicious, the man who ruined
every relationship I was ever in…’ I don’t think so some how.”
“Will you stop being so…so…” She closed her eyes and said it.
“I’m going to have an abortion.”
“What?” Spike blinked. “Why?”
“Because I decided that if I was going to have children then
I want them with you.”
Faye sighed and knelt down in front of spike. She looked deep
into his eyes and burst into tears, Spike put his arms around her and pulled
her close, burying her face in his shoulder, her tears dampening his yellow
shirt.
“Hey, don’t cry.” Spike held Faye out at arms length “You’ll
get mascara on my shirt.”
Faye let out a light breath
laughter, her dark purple hair stuck to her tear stained cheeks. Spike lent
forward and pressed his lips to hers. Letting her go, Spike looked into her
eyes and smiled. Gently he kissed her again.
The End.
