People Magazine reviews "Stacie Orrico"

SOO
In the latest issue of People (with Jessica Lynch on the cover), there is a review of Stacie Orrico's new CD! The review isn't exactly the best, but it's nothing bad.. Take a read :
After making her debut as a contemporary Christian artist with 2000's Genuine, Stacie Orrico gets into the teen-pop spirit on her new album. The 17-year-old, who opened for Destiny's Child on tour in 2001, recalls pre-"Dirrty" Christina Aguilera on this harmless 12-song set. The first single, "Stuck," with its catchy chorus ("I hate you, but I love you/ I can't stop thinking of you"), quirky accordion sounds and Orrico's jazz-inflected vocal, is already a hit with the TRL crowd. Bouncing from pop rock to lite R&B to dance, with touches of hip-hop, electronica and Latin, Orrico goes through more styles than an American Idol finalist. But the singer, who had a hand in writing eight tunes, lacks the powerhouse pipes of Aguilera to elevate the more mediocre material.
BOTTOM LINE: Satisfactory Stacie

Lot's of interesting news today! According to Musicforce.com, Stacie plans on moving out and living with fellow singing star, Rachael Lampa..Read on :
First it was Rebecca St. James trying her wings. Then siblings Phillip and Natalie LaRue flew the nest, setting up house on their own in Nashville. Next in line will likely be Stacie Orrico and Rachael Lampa. The barely 17-year-old Orrico told us on Monday that her parents may be relocating out of the Nashville area and that she and fellow teen songstress Lampa are planning to move in together, getting an apartment in Brentwood, just outside of Nashville. Orrico's dad was instrumental in re-launching the Rocketown Club for teens in downtown Nashville, but with his work done, he's looking for a new challenge. Before the big move, though, Orrico and Lampa are planning some downtime in Florida. They'll soak up the sun in Destin later this month and have recently traveled to New York together as well, taking in a Lauren Hill concert that Orrico gave rave reviews.
Also here's a little more details about "American Dreams", the show will be taped next Wedneday and Thursday.. and a little more tidbits :
On April 16 and 17, Orrico will tape an upcoming episode of NBC's Dick Clark-produced retro-drama, American Dreams, The show, which centers around a typical 1960s American family, features a teenage girl who is a regular on that Philly music staple, American Bandstand. That musical connection will allow Orrico to sing on the show, but we hear she'll also be testing the acting waters by uttering a few lines of dialogue as well.

Stacie's Marketing Overview and More!
source - chordant.com/ SOO
Here's a cool little article about Stacie's new album from Chordant :
Songwriter. Author. Performer. Stacie Orrico has accomplished a lot in the last two years, but now as she prepares to release her latest studio project, it appears her biggest challenges still lie ahead of her. On the heels of a new partnership with Virgin Records, Stacie takes her GOLD selling resume into the studio to improve on her hugely successful debut, Genuine. There's definitely no sophomore slump here as her new album weaves urban beats and pop hooks to fashion a musical message that will be accessible to those inside the walls of the church as well as those outside. Given the challenge of creating music that encourages the church while reaching out to a lost world, Stacie answers the call admirably; creating an album that is relevant to today's youth and young adults. Stacie firmly cements herself as a voice for a generation of souls, be they lost or deeply rooted in their faith.

And here's Stacie Marketing Overview of what they plan on happening in the next couple months to promote "Stacie Orrico" - check it out!

STACIE ORRICO SHOOTS "STUCK" VIDEO :
Over the past few months, Stacie Orrico has been busy preparing for her March 25th sophomore self-titled release. Part of that preparation includes the production of a video for her first mainstream radio single, "Stuck." Although Stacie has had her share of photo shoots and videos, she said making the "Stuck" video, which was directed by Dianne Martel (Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Snoop Dogg), was a whole new experience! "I've never had so many costume changes or so many people working on my hair and make-up before!" The video will be serviced to major mainstream outlets such as MTV and VH1 soon.

"STUCK" IS STUCK ON TOP 40 RADIO PLAYLISTS!:
Speaking of "Stuck," the song will be going for adds to Top 40 mainstream pop stations on Tuesday, February 4, but early word has it that the song is destined to be a hit!! R&R "Going For Adds" writer, Tony Novia says, "It doesn't take more than one listen to hear that this 16-year-old is a gifted young artist." He also noted, "With a Christian-music background, Stacie aims to give a sometimes-misunderstood genre a more universal appeal." So far, "Stuck" has been added to nearly 20 stations, and continues to gain momentum. Stacie's self-penned ballad, "Strong Enough" was serviced to Christian radio last week and is also starting to create a buzz. AC station KLRC in Little Rock, AR said, "That song is phenomenal ."
