| DEI Glory A beautiful day Today at the track Sun shining bright For those who came back. A quiet start To the rain delayed race The drivers showed paitence Setting a nice steady pace. The field a bit bare Without Dale and the 3 No junior in this race It wasn't meant to be. The other 2 cars From the DEI clan Ran towards the front Like a well-set plan. Green flag stops took over The action on the track Four tires and fuel Then sending them back. Less than five to go Bobby closing up fast Steve fighting so hard Trying not to be passed. He needed this win To dedicate to the man A second place finish Wasn't in his plans. There weren't too many Dry eyes in the stands Nor along pit road Even the at-home fans. Dale may be gone But his prescence is still there He rides with his drivers They can feel him there. The high fives in the air Between DEI cars Was priceless and touching For two upcoming stars.
