| April Martinsville A sunny day in Martinsville today Patiently waiting the race to get underway. The green flag flew and off they ran hard The second place car mounted a charge. Hard racing and lots of banging Fenders crunched and engines clanging. The heat oppressive inside the cars Overheating for a lot of the stars. The attrition rate was growing fast Had us wondering who would last. Poor Ricky, it looked like it was his day But out came a caution, and his lead went away. His teammate got by to take the lead Makes some think he is driven by greed. They're in the sport to race and to win Not to sit back and just give in.
