Willow Rosenberg was born to Ira and Sheila Rosenberg and she is the only Jewish member of the Scooby Gang. Her parents aren�t very in touch with her and didn�t even notice when she got her hair cut until 3 months later. Willow has been friends with Xander since childhood and she quickly became best friends with Buffy when she moved to Sunnydale. Willow is extremely intelligent, an excellent student who has tutored many other kids in the past, and is a computer genius; being able to hack in to many top security files easily. She even taught Jenny Calendar's computer class after Jenny�s neck was snapped by Angelus. Willow had always wanted to be more than friends with Xander and when she got a chance, it was when she was with Oz. Oz was mad at Willow because of this but eventually forgave her. Willow will probably always have a soft spot for Xander, as shown when she cried in the bathroom when she learned that Xander had slept with Faith. At the end of Season two, Willow lost her own virginity to Oz. Willow had a hard time when Oz left Sunnydale to learn how to control his inner wolf, but found love with fellow Wicca Tara, who when Oz returned from Tibet, she chose over him. Willow got increasingly powerful and skilled with magic throughout Season 5, and she was able to hurt Glory which allowed Willow to bring her loved Tara back to reality (for Glory had made her go mad). In Season 6, Willow continued to further her use of magic, and Tara complained to her that she was overusing it. After Tara found out that Willow had done a spell to make Tara forget their fight, Tara left Willow until she could get the magick under control. This combined with an accident she caused while driving home after a big injection of powerful magick, nearly killing Dawn, allowed her to see the light and she knew she had to give up magick completely. A few months later, they got back together, because Willow had successfully stayed off magick but Tara was accidentally shot and killed by Warren of the Trio (the shot was a reaction to him previously killing Buffy). This drew Willoe over the edge, and she used dark magicks to make herself extremely powerful. She skinned and killed Warren, then, overwhelmed, decided to end the world. After fighting off Buffy, it was Xander who got through to Willow. Willow went to England for the summer with Giles, who, along with a coven of witches, trained her so that she could control and use properly the magic within her by teaching her about magick and its relationship with nature and the earth. She came back after she was almost better and when fighting against the First, became a goddess with the spell she had used.
