| Cordelia Chase, born and raised in Sunnydale, is an obvious prep. She's a popular cheerleader, extremely selfish, and always speaks her mind. When Buffy first came to Sunnydale, Cordelia tried to become her friend, since anyone from LA must be cool. But after Buffy mistakenly attacked her with a stake in the Bronz, and then began hanging out with "losers" Willow and Xander, Cordelia decided to shun her instead. It was a mutual dislike, but eventually Cordelia needed Buffy's help with supernatural dillemas, and soon after, Cordelia found out that Buffy was the Slayer. She found herself hanging out with the Scooby Gang much more, and soon she was even dating Xander. When her "cool" friends found out and insulted her, she broke up with him, but then changed her mind, deciding she'd date whoever she wanted. However, Xander and Willow found themselves kissing one day (while being held hostage by Spike), and Cordelia and Oz caught them. Cordelia and Xander never got back together, but they did recently seem to call a bit of an unofficial truce. She later developed a crush on the new Watcher, Wesley, but upon kissing, they realized they had no chemistry. It was revealed toward the end of the third season that Cordelia's family, who've always had money, are now broke, and she was working in a clothing boutique. Cordelia moved to Los Angeles to become an actress, but ended up working with Angel and Wesley to help the helpless. Their dead friend Doyle gave her his talent for receiving visions of people in trouble when they kissed before he died. She also became a slave in the dimension of Pylea and even fell in love with the champion, Groosalugg. Her more and more painful visions ended up putting her in a coma sort of state and was awakened by Skip, who also eventually brought her to a higher realm to become a heavenly being. When she returned, she remembered nothing and a spell was cast which gave her back her memory but unleashed an inner evil, which caused her to manipulate all of her friends and she even sent out the Beast to destroy LA. Later on, Cordelia and Angel's son Connor slept together and Cordelia eventually became pregnant, the baby was Jasmine, who enticed people only to eat them. When in labor, Cordy went into a coma and almost a year later, "Woke up" only to help Angel to find himself. She was never actually there though, she had died in the hospital at the same time and she was only a sort of figment given to the gang by "The Powers that Be". |
