Title: What Happens Tomorrow
Artist: Duran Duran
Specifics: 4:06 / 4.85 MB / 80s: Pop
Opinion: I can't stress enough how deeply I fell in love with this song. Again and again, I listen to it, and I sing along every time. So what if I'm biased toward Duran Duran? The song is catchy, the lyrics optimistic and not overly bouncy. It is not a clichéd song about lost love; it is a song about keeping your chin up, and that's a message that everyone could use at least once!

Title: Cannot Hide
Artist: A-Ha
Specifics: 3:19 / 4.56 MB / 80s: Pop
Opinion: The song, while it made me think that the lead singer of A-Ha does not know English very well, isn't a typical love ballad about breakups and nonsense. In fact, it goes deeper, into the first sighting of a girl and what the man is thinking upon their meeting. I liked that it doesn't go the normal route in description; this song isn't terribly clichéd and convoluted, either.

Title: Everything Your Heart Desires
Artist: Hall & Oates
Specifics: 5:00 / 4.58 MB / 80s: Pop
Opinion: I admit it: I hated this song as a little girl. My mom loved it and I always skipped it whenever it came on. Now, I have to admit that I like it. I probably will never truly, madly, deeply fall in love with it, but I sing along and I smile when I recognize the beginning on the radio or on my Winamp playlist. While it's more of a cliché than the previous two, there's nothing too wrong with it.

Title: King of Wishful Thinking
Artist: Go West
Specifics: 4:03 / 3.71 MB / 80s (early 90s): Pop
Opinion: The last time I heard this song on Muzak, I think a little piece of me died. So many songs that I like and will dance to are on Muzak these days, possibly because they're old and most people don't seem to care about them anymore. Not so with this one. More than a bit repetitive, and it's definitely a breakup song - which I tend to dislike - but I have a strange like for it despite that.

Title: Listen To Your Heart
Artist: Roxette
Specifics: 5:11 / 4.75 MB / 80s: Pop
Opinion: Yes, yes, everyone thinks Roxette is sugary, foreign nonsense. But admit it, most of us will keep the radio on the station if ever a Roxette song comes on. Most of us can probably sing one of their songs, or at least recognize it. And Listen To Your Heart in particular is one of my guilty pleasures. It's sappy, but once in a while, I like listening to a song that's full of lovey doveyness.
