Title: Eden
Artist: To Destination
Specifics: 4:10 / 3.82 MB / Anime: Yami no Matsuei: Opening Theme
Opinion: Gorgeous! That's all I have to say about this song, having fallen as deeply in love with it as I have. With some anime, the theme song is deceptively cheerful and does not bely the drama that will come, but with Eden, it is obvious that Yami no Matsuei has tragic overtones. More than overtones; I won't ruin that pat of the series, though. Even if you aren't familiar with Yami no Matsuei, I highly suggest this song. The vocals are haunting and I love the use of the guitar in the beginning.

Title: Last Impression
Artist: Two-Mix
Specifics: 7:30 / 6.87 MB / Anime: Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Ending Theme
Opinion: Gundam Wing was one of the first anime that truly introduced me to fandom in its entirety. Its continuation, the Endless Waltz OAV, only added to my fascination. Naturally, it helped that the music was marvelous. Though this is a long one, it's worth the instrumentals to hear the vocals. The opening of the song is very pretty and rather sad. Then it moves right into the singing, which is beautiful.

Title: Spicy Marmalade
Artist: Bad Luck (Seki Toshihiko)
Specifics: 4:00 / 3.66 MB / Anime: Gravitation: Orignal Soundtrack
Opinion: Unlike the previous two songs, this takes an upbeat, happy pace from the beginning. The dance beat, however, is not necessarily as appropriate to the actual lyrics as the uninformed listener might think. There is indeed Engrish, as the title suggests. That isn't the dominating factor. The lyrics are really describing the sadness of people and breaking away from its control.

Title: Namida no Hurricane
Artist: Bon-Bon Blanco
Specifics: 4:10 / 4.77 MB / Anime: Getbackers: Ending Theme
Opinion: Fast-paced with a pop rock beat that keeps you moving if you really want to get into the music, this one means what it sounds like. To clarify, it is a happy song and very passionate about getting out into the world and going for it. That's my interpretation of it, in any case. And what a great message for a song to have, whether or not it pertains to the series it is for - and it's certainly appropriate for a series like Getbackers. Some of it is serious, like the song, but it always comes across as fun.

Title: Yuzurenai Negai
Artist: Tamura Naomi
Specifics: 3:52 / 3.54 MB / Anime: Magic Knight Rayearth: Opening Theme
Opinion: How much do I love this song? As much as I love Rayearth. Believe me, that's a lot of love! The song jumps straight into the vocals and then into the instrumental intro. Lots of guitar there, which fades back out when the vocals come in and breaks back in for solo intervals. More than the electric guitar, it's the message of the song that caught me. It's optimistic and tells of never giving up and being strong.
