"Our First Date"- Written by Navneet (His feelings about meeting Richa for the first time)



12 March, 2005- luckiest day of my life:



On that day I was very nervous. When I woke up in the morning, I could feel that there was something special in the air. I was a bit excited...Don't know why!



Richa and I agreed to meet about 11:30am at Mc Donalds, Kashmiri Gate (New Delhi). Ussually I don't wake up before 8:30am on holidays but on that day I got up at about 5:30am. Everyone in my home was surprised. My mom asked, "What’s wrong with you?" I just said, "It’s nothing, I was not able to sleep". I don't know why but I was really tensed.



I talked with Richa on phone for about a month before meeting her. I had some kind of image in my mind- how Richa will look like, what she will do, how cutely she will act. It was not that I was expecting a very pretty girl, but someone who is very emotional and would understand me. Within one month, I got very attached with Richa, by talking to her on phone everyday and sharing my feelings with her. But somewhere I was scared what if Richa is not like what I have originally thought of~



Scene 2:



I got ready by 8:30am and told my Mom that I have to go to University for some work. I was sure that she could smell, something fishy is going on but she didn't say anything.

I reached bus stop at 9am. It was for the first time when I was nervous about my looks, I was looking in mirror or glass of every vehicle, just to make sure that I was looking fine. Anyways, I reached at Mc Donalds (where we were supposed to meet) at 10:20am. When I looked at my watch, I said oh my god I have to wait for 1hr 10 mins. That was one of the longest wait of my life. That was tough, especially when I was super-excited yet nervous to meet her in-person for the first time.



Each minute was passing like an hour. I called Richa 3 times, just to make sure she remembered the date and is on her way. Within 10 minutes, Richa called me to tell that she is already inside Mc Donalds and was curious where I was. My heart came to my mouth. The moment for which I was waiting for all these days, was finally there. Each step towards Mc Donalds was increasing my heartbeat and nervousness.



Scene 3:



The moment I entered the door, my eyes were searching for Richa. I knew I would recognize her the moment I will see her. Then, I turned left and saw the most beautiful girl of my life.



For me beauty is something with which I can connect my feelings. The moment I looked at her, it felt like this is the girl I was looking for, all my life. Richa was in blue top and black jeans and was looking as adorable as ever. She had some kind of South Indian look on her face, which was breathtaking. I had talked to her so many times on phone, but sitting in front of her and talking to her was amazing. She had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen.



Those 6 hours with her were the most beautiful moments of my life. This was my first date, which I could never ever forget.



Richa, most beautiful name of my life; most beautiful girl of my life; and now she is my LIFE!
