This is an acrylic painting done on canvas. It was based on a picture taken last summer of me and my best friend, Allison. It was ment to look less realistic but after I added the facial features it looked more normal. Still, note the enlongated faces, unproportional facial features, and "muddy" shading.
This painting is also acrylic on canvas. I did this one directly after finishing LIFE JACKET. This painting is based on a picture I took of my mom about 10 years ago. It was not ment to look like her or to say anything about her. I can't paint or draw her yet...too emotional for me as she passed away about a year ago. This painting shows how the woman views herself. Note the orange showing the "inner glow" and personality she saw in herself. She was a dynamic person. But yet her facial features are fairly simple showing how she was a simple person. I did her hair a normal color to tone down the painting a bit. The background is bright green to show how the woman viewed life brightly, and positively.
This is acrylic done on a piece of stiff cloth I had lying around. I got the inspiration for this painting from a picture of a pig in the newspaper. From that I took the idea and improved it and transferred it onto cloth. I have many other paintings and drawings of pigs as they are my favorite animal. Which may help you to draw conclusions about this painting.
