Victor was an Able Seaman on board HMS Whirlwind.
On 5 July 1940 HMS Whirlwind was detached from an Atlantic convoy to search for a reported U-boat. While undertaking a search she was hit by a torpedo fired from U-boat and sank. Victor was among those that were lost.
