Kelvin Crawford
Kelvin Crawford served in the Royal Flying Corps.

Kelvin initially joined the Machine Gun Corps. H e was then transferreed to the RFC and underwent pilot training.

After gaining his wings he was posted to join 24 Squadron on 16 October 1916. The squadron flew Airco DH2 single seat pusher aircraft and was the first squadron to be equipped with the same type of aircraft. At that toime 24 Squadron was commaned by Major Lanoe Hawker VC. While with 24 Sqn Kelvin took part in many patrols and took part in five combats which resulted in the loss of an enemy aircraft.

After his last victory he was posted to the Home Establishment.
In March 1918 Kelvin was posted to 60 Squadron in France.

During a combat on the 11 April 1918 Kelvin was shot down and killed.

Captain Kelvin Crawford is commemorated at the Arras Flying Services Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
