George served as a Stoker 1st Class on board HM Trawler Cobbers.
On the 3 March 1941 George was killed in action when his ship was sunk.
Stoker 1st Class George Crawford is commemorated at the Sunderland (Ryhope Road) Cemetery, ward 15, section B.B, grave 14926.
