Charles Crawford (C/X 10706B)
Charles Crawford served in the Royal Navy Reserve.

Charles served as a
Leading Seaman on board HMS Calypso. HMS Calypso was a C-Class Light Cruiser built in 1917. Durinf WWII she was based in the Mediterranean. On the 12 June 1940 she was 50 miles south of Crete when the Italian submarine Bagnolini fired a single torpedo at the ship. The torpedo hit and Calypso sank taking with her a number of crew, including Charles.
