On the 20 December 1941 Albert was confirmed in his appointment and promoted to a Flying Officer as per the London Gazette dated 20 January 1942.
On 1 January 1944 Albert was promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant as per the London Gazette, dated 21 January 1944.
